There are on average approximately 30 District Scholarships available to graduating students of Van Tech. These scholarships are for electives in the areas listed below. When applying, you need to identify which of the areas you are applying for. You can get the application forms from the respective faculty teachers. The Clean Energy Association of BC (CEBC) will be offering a $1,000 student scholarship this year, and it will be awarded at their Annual General Meeting on June 13th. The Alexandra Foundation - Elmer Helm Scholarship
The Alexandra Foundation for Neighbourhood Houses is offering financial assistance to deserving students who want to pursue post-secondary education in the artistic, academic or technical field. They are offering up to eight Elmer Helm Youth Fund awards, where a minimum of four awards will go to new recipients, and up to four awards may be presented to prior recipients who are continuing their undergraduate studies. Each recipient will receive $1500 in two payments of $750 in early August and January over the course of the year.
Students who receive this award are eligible for funding for up to 4 years. This fund is available to young people under the age of 25 years old. To be eligible for this award, applicants must demonstrate they are planning to pursue studies in a certificate or degree program at the college or university level, and must be significantly involved in their community in a volunteer capacity. The Alexandra Foundation values academic success and community service and community strengthening equally.

The Amy Hurn Scholarship Fund is offered to graduating students to help provide financial assistance towards post-secondary tuition. The STEAM Horizon Awards invite Canada’s youth to promote positive changes throughout their community using science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). They want to reward students who are leaders, achievers, or innovators that also have limitless drive, ambition, and determination.
Five Canadian students will be awarded $25,000 each, to attend a Canadian university or college to study in a STEAM field. Two of these awards will be given to Indigenous students. The winners will be invited to Ottawa and recognized at an award ceremony in April 2019.

Provincial Scholarship Program
The program’s purpose is to recognize student achievement and encourage students to pursue post-secondary education. Students must meet the basic eligibility requirements and the specific requirements for each scholarship.
